Titles are the weak spot

The title "PASTA NIGHT" scored 43 out of 100. ALL CAPS can feel spammy. Use title case for a more professional look.

What works on this channel

"How to Make Fresh Pasta With 3 Ingredients" got 41,300 views (5 times their average). This is the format to study.

Plus every recent title scored, when it posts, its top words and its size against other creators.

How to Audit Your YouTube Channel

The audit reads the channel's public page and its recent videos. You never sign in or connect anything.

  1. Paste a channel

A channel link, an @handle or any video link works. We find the channel from it.

  2. Read the score

It is out of 100. Titles count for 55% and posting for 45%. The label beside it says where the channel stands.

  3. Fix the first thing

The report starts with up to 3 fixes. Every recent title also gets its own score and one tip.

What Makes a Strong YouTube Channel?

  • Clear titles: 20 to 70 characters, with a number or a word like how or why. Skip ALL CAPS.
  • Steady uploads: weekly or more often scores best. Uneven gaps and a long silence pull it down.
  • One clear topic: when YouTube knows what a channel is about, it can show it to the right viewers.
  • Your standout videos: one far above the channel's usual views shows what people want. Make more like it.

Check again in a month. Run the audit every few weeks to see whether your changes moved the score.

Channel Health Score Breakdown

Every audit gets one of five labels. The number alone decides it, with the same cutoffs for every channel.

  • 81 to 100, Crushing It: titles and posting are both strong. Keep going.
  • 66 to 80, Looking Good: strong basics. Small changes push it higher.
  • 46 to 65, On Track: a fair start. Fix the weaker of the two areas first.
  • 26 to 45, Room to Grow: titles, posting or both need work.
  • 0 to 25, Needs Work: start with the first fix and work down the list.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask most about channel audits.

How do I audit a YouTube channel?

Paste the channel link or @handle in the box and press Audit channel. Usually in under half a minute you get a score out of 100, what to fix first, and every recent title scored.

Is the channel audit free?

Yes. It is free with no sign-up. Each internet connection gets 10 audits an hour, and the count resets on its own.

Can I audit someone else's channel?

Yes. Any public channel works: paste its link, its @handle or a link to one of its videos. It reads the channel's public YouTube pages, so nobody signs in.

How is the channel score worked out?

Titles count for 55% and posting for 45%. Each recent title is scored on its length, numbers, question words and capitals. Posting is scored on how often and how evenly the channel uploads.

What makes a title score well?

Titles of 20 to 70 characters score best. A number and a word like how, why or best lift the score. ALL CAPS and very short titles pull it down.

What is a good channel score?

81 and up is Crushing It, 66 to 80 is Looking Good, 46 to 65 is On Track, 26 to 45 is Room to Grow, and 25 or below is Needs Work.

How does posting change the score?

A video every week scores highest. An uneven rhythm and a last upload over a month ago both lower it. A steady rhythm helps more than bursts.

What does the size comparison mean?

It compares the channel's subscribers with creators on CollabPals. "At least as many subscribers as 60 in 100" means it matches or beats 60 of every 100 creators there.

What is in the full audit?

The full audit is for your own channel, inside CollabPals. It reads what your videos say, finds why your best videos took off and ranks your fixes. Your score is free; the full report comes with a paid plan.

How often should I audit a channel?

Every few weeks is enough. The score moves as new videos go up, so check again after a handful of uploads to see whether the titles and rhythm improved.
