Why is the Max Resolution thumbnail not available?
YouTube only generates the maxresdefault (1280x720) thumbnail when the video was uploaded at 720p or higher, or when the creator uploaded a custom thumbnail. Videos uploaded at lower resolutions, very old videos, and some auto-generated content may only have smaller sizes. Our tool detects this automatically and clearly marks unavailable resolutions.
