How we got these numbers
The rates behind your answer at 10,000.
Type your subscribers and long video views from YouTube Studio. The simulator shows what your channel could earn at each milestone, from 10,000 to 1 million. It also shows how long each could take, free in your browser.
How the YouTube Analytics Simulator Works
Four steps, all in your browser. Nothing you type leaves it.
-
Add two numbers from YouTube Studio
Your subscriber total, and your long video views in the last 28 days. Find those under Analytics, Content, Videos.
-
Pick your niche
Advertisers and brands pay very different amounts in each niche, so the money changes with it.
-
Choose how often you post
More videos a week means a faster pace in our model. That is our assumption, not a YouTube rule. It changes when you get there, not what a channel that size earns.
-
Pick a milestone
See what you could earn there, how long it could take and what your channel could look like.
The example: 2,500 subscribers and 50,000 long video views a month in technology, posting 3 videos a week. At 10,000 it could earn $490 to $1,900 a month, about 16 months away.
YouTube Subscriber Milestones and Rewards
Five milestones let you apply for something new on YouTube, from 500 to 10 million.
| Subscribers | What you can apply for |
|---|---|
| 500 | Memberships, Super Chat and Super Thanks |
| 1,000 | Ads in the YouTube Partner Program |
| 100,000 | The Silver Play Button and the check mark |
| 1 million | The Gold Play Button |
| 10 million | The Diamond Play Button |
Fan funding at 500 also needs 3 public uploads in 90 days. Add 3,000 watch hours in a year, or 3 million Shorts views in 90 days.
Ads need more than subscribers. At 1,000 you also need 4,000 watch hours in 12 months, or 10 million Shorts views in 90 days.
From February 1, 2027, new applicants need 8,000 watch hours or 20 million Shorts views. Subscribers stay at 1,000.
How YouTube Revenue Grows with Subscribers
A channel earns from four places, and each grows at its own pace.
- YouTube ads: paid per view, so they grow with your views. Niche matters most: finance pays many times what music does. Shorts pay far less, about $0.03 to $0.15 per 1,000 views, so we count long videos only.
- Brand deals: paid per video, by how many people watch it. Price yours with the Sponsorship Rate Calculator.
- Channel memberships: a small share of viewers pay each month. YouTube keeps 30%.
- Super Chat and Super Thanks: viewers tip during live streams and on videos. YouTube keeps 30%.
Made for kids videos cannot use memberships, Super Chat or Super Thanks, so the kids niche counts none.

What Affects YouTube Channel Growth Speed?
Three things move the pace most in our model.
- How often you post: each video is another chance to be found. Plan a pace you can keep with the Posting Schedule Generator.
- Your niche: at 2 videos a week, channels grow about 5% a month in music and cars, up to 10% in kids.
- Where you start: growth compounds, so the same pace adds more subscribers each month as you grow.
Beyond the model, a clear title and thumbnail earn the click. See yours beside real videos with the Thumbnail Previewer.
YouTube Revenue Projections Methodology
- Subscribers: each month adds a share of your size, set by your niche and how often you post. Under 100, we start from 100.
- Views: they grow a little slower than subscribers, up to about 20 a month per subscriber at 10,000 and 10 at 1 million. They never drop below today's. With no views yet, we count 2 a month per subscriber.
- Ads: advertiser rates for your niche, cut to about 45% for a worldwide audience. About half of views show an ad, and you keep 55%. We assume videos over 8 minutes, which earn about 1.6 times more.
- Brand deals: one deal a month, priced per 1,000 views of a typical video at a fixed 3 videos a week. Capped at the usual price for that size, with the top end doubled for the best-paid deals.
- Members and Super Chat: a small share of viewers join at $4.99 a month, less YouTube's 30%. Super Chat adds about $0.10 to $0.80 per 1,000 views after YouTube's share, capped by channel size.
Every number is a range for planning, not a promise. One video that takes off, or a month off, changes it.

Frequently asked questions
What people ask most about growing a YouTube channel.
How accurate is the YouTube Analytics Simulator?
It shows where a typical pace could lead, not a promise. One video that takes off, or a break from posting, changes the answer. Use it to plan, as a range.
Do I need to connect my YouTube account?
No. Type two numbers from YouTube Studio. Everything runs in your browser, and nothing you type is sent anywhere.
How is the revenue estimate worked out?
From four sources: YouTube ads at worldwide rates for your niche, brand deals priced per 1,000 views, channel memberships and Super Chat. Each shows as a range, with the rates it used.
How much do YouTubers make at 100,000 subscribers?
It depends most on views and niche. In our model, ads pay about $0.30 to $8.91 per 1,000 views of a long video, after YouTube's share. Brand deals, memberships and Super Chat add to that.
How long does it take to reach 100,000 subscribers?
YouTube publishes no average. In our example, a technology channel at 2,500 subscribers posting 3 videos a week takes about 3.6 years. Type your numbers to see yours.
What do you get at each YouTube milestone?
At 500 you can apply for memberships and Super Chat, and at 1,000 for ads, each with watch hour rules too. The Silver Play Button comes at 100,000, Gold at 1 million and Diamond at 10 million.
What changes for YouTube ads in 2027?
From February 1, 2027, new applicants for ads need 8,000 watch hours in 12 months, or 20 million Shorts views in 90 days. The 1,000 subscriber rule stays.
Does posting more often make a channel grow faster?
In our model, yes: 3 videos a week grows about 30% faster than 2, and daily about 90% faster. That is our assumption, not a YouTube rule. A pace you can keep matters more.
Is the analytics simulator free?
Yes. It is free with no sign-up and no limits, and it works in your browser.
Can I share my results?
Yes. Copy them or share them on X. The link keeps your numbers, so whoever opens it sees the same channel.
